XVIII Walking Route of Lestrobe (Dodro)

Last October 12, 2023, the Association of Friends of the Way of Santiago do Barbanza and Sar A Orixe collaborated in the organization of the XVIII Lestrobe (Dodro) Walking Race.

The Association of Friends of the Way of Santiago Barbanza and Sar A Orixe and the Council of Dodro collaborate through an agreement. This collaboration goes back to the year 2022, in which the 2 entities signed the first agreement that marked the collaboration clauses.

In this year 2023, the formalization of the agreement was renewed. Thanks to which they can produce these types of actions together that result in the common interest.

The Association Amigos do Camiño de Santiago do Barbanza e Sar "A Orixe", created in 2017, was born with the aim of promoting and defending the Xacobean heritage, as well as the promotion and dissemination of the route from the Corrubedo Lighthouse to Santiago de Compostela. In this way, a stage runs through the Council of Dodro, putting value on the territory, making the municipality known and generating new opportunities that arise from the dynamism caused by the action of "Orije".

Following this line, given the need of the Dodro Council to have human resources for the tasks involved in the organization of a sports event like the one we are dealing with, it was able to count on the help of the Association of Friends of the Camiño de Santiago Barbanza e Sar "A Orixe".

On this occasion, the staff who came from the "Origin" carried out the tasks of supplying the sports test in which more than 400 people participated. Taking advantage of the opportunity, he carried out a campaign to disseminate and advertise the existence of the association as well as to promote the Jacobean route.
