The sunny Sunday encouraged people to walk, and many locals from Barbanza took to promenades, mountain trails, and other paths. In Aguiño, a large crowd gathered in the morning. A battalion took over the town to contribute to a charitable cause.

The event, promoted by the company Congalsa, brought together nearly two hundred people who met early in the morning around the fish market to begin a walk of about ten kilometers, with low difficulty. For the route design, which mainly followed the coastal area, the company collaborated with the Asociación Amigos do Camiño de Santiago A Orixe.

The Congalsa walk has become a regular solidarity initiative; in fact, the one held this Sunday was its ninth edition. It was initially planned for November but was postponed due to bad weather.

Participants made their donations by contributing a kilo of non-perishable food and a monetary donation. Both the food and the funds collected, which are still being counted, will be delivered to a Barbanza NGO responsible for distributing them to families in need. Congalsa thanked the large turnout of walkers.
