First Great Pilgrimage of Barbanzanos along the way A Orixe

Parishioners from A Pobra do Caramiñal, Palmeira, Xobre, Boiro and Rianxo have participated in the initiative and have joined together to carry out this 135 km path divided into six stages.

The start at the Corrubedo Lighthouse and they have been carrying out the stages on skipped Saturdays that they had available, a group of pilgrims who have the same goal of reaching a sacred place, the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

Along the way we all learn values such as; sacrifice and companionship, experiences are shared and past experiences are shared, etc.

The pilgrimage culminated with attendance at the pilgrim's mass, a guided tour of the portico of glory, and a fraternization meal was held at the end where each of the pilgrims were presented with La Compostela.
